Combo Driver Qualifications
- Hold a Class A CDL
- Have or can get the following endorsements: tankers, hazardous materials and double/triple (We can help walk you through the process.)
- A clean motor vehicle record (MVR) — no DUIs and no more than one accident within 36 months
- Pass DOT physical, drug test and criminal background check
Combo Driver Requirements
- Experience driving similar equipment in various traffic and weather conditions or graduation from Company-approved training program
- Age 21, minimum
- Ability to work various shifts and days of the week
- Ability to record applicable freight information on bill of lading
- Ability to match information on freight bill with description on bill of lading
Combo Driver Responsibilities
- Operate various tractor-trailer combinations or straight trucks between our terminals, yards and customer facilities or work sites
- Sort, handle, load and/or unload freight at various YRC Freight and customer locations in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers and/or straight trucks in accordance with oral and written instructions, as well as federal and state regulations
